About the role Enerven are looking for an experienced Trades Assistant or what we call General Skilled Workers to be a key part in our Substation Construction Delivery team in the construction of substations and renewable projects.
You will work alongside experienced substation electricians and other experienced personnel to ensure a high quality of output and a safe working environment. You will need a high level of safety awareness, ability to take and follow instruction and work in a team environment and be familiar with and skilled in the use of power tools and small to large equipment. This role will be predominantly working away on construction sites on an 11:3 roster.
About you We are seeking a highly motivated individual who possesses a strong can-do attitude and demonstrates initiative in all aspects of their work. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the trade or civil industry, bringing practical experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This individual should be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and effectively contributing to team goals. A passion for continuous learning and improvement, combined with a hands-on approach to tackling challenges, will be key to succeeding in this role.
Specific qualifications and experience required include: Previous experience in a similar role Although not essential an EWP, Forklift and Telehandler licence would be great! A white card and First Aid CPR are desirable Great interpersonal and communication skills A can-do attitude with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety About us At Enerven, we want our work to make a difference.
