About the Role As a Finance Lead, you'll take the lead in business partnering with our Customer business unit. Working on a day-to-day basis with senior leaders in the business, you'll provide expert guidance and resolve queries to drive financial performance and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to have a direct impact on the business, shape financial strategies, and lead critical decision-making processes. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Provide financial advice and direction and ensure integrity of financial results and key operational metrics Provide deep insights into drivers of monthly results against budgets, forecasts and expectations (variance analysis) to the business and finance. Identify and monitor key financial and operational metrics to enable timely and pro-active response to identified trends. Work with the business units to establish annual budgets and forecasts with key assumptions rationalised, clearly articulated and endorsed by business owners Provide financial and commercial due diligence, review business cases and investment proposals Review and challenge initiatives within the business unit to ensure that business decisions are made with a clear understanding of likely financial outcomes. Define, establish and monitor leading performance indicators with a clear linkage between operational and financial performance. How can you support the Clean Energy Transition Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics or another relevant quantitative degree (minimum) Post graduate qualifications in accounting and/or finance holding current CA/CPA qualifications Minimum of 4+ years experience in finance and/or commercial roles Previous experience in energy or a similar environment (i.e. telco, insurance, banking) preferred but not essential Experience in influencing/challenging business partners to drive results High degree of commercial acumen and strategic approach to accounting If you share our passion for a clean energy future for all and want to join us #Doing.
