About the Role
As a Finance Lead, you'll take the lead in planning, forecasting, and reporting on the $300m operating expenditure for our Customer business unit.
As the central point of contact for all OPEX-related matters, you'll be a key partner to the Customer team, providing expert guidance and resolving queries to drive financial performance and efficiency.
This is an exciting opportunity to have a direct impact on the business, shape financial strategies, and lead critical decision-making processes.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Providing financial advice and direction and ensuring integrity of financial results and key operational metrics.
Providing deep insights into drivers of monthly results against budgets, forecasts and expectations (variance analysis) to the business and finance.
Identifying and monitoring key financial and operational metrics to enable timely and pro-active response to identified trends.
Working with the business units to establish annual budgets and forecasts with key assumptions rationalised, clearly articulated and endorsed by business owners.
Providing financial and commercial due diligence, tracking, and reporting of investments.
Reviewing and challenging initiatives within the business unit to ensure that business decisions are made with a clear understanding of likely financial outcomes.
Establishing and monitoring lead performance indicators with a clear linkage between operational and financial business performance.
How can you support the Clean Energy Transition
Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics or another relevant quantitative degree (minimum).
Post graduate qualifications in accounting and/or finance holding current CA/CPA qualifications.
Minimum of 6+ years experience in a similar related finance role.
Previous experience in energy or a similar environment (i.e.
telco, insurance, banking).
Experience in influencing/challenging the business to drive results.
High degree of commercial acumen and strategic approach to accounting.
