About the Role As our new Environment and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of environmental and safety programs at Tallawarra Power Station. Reporting through to the Gas Assets Health and Safety Asset Leader, this role will see you take lead from the Tallawarra Asset Leader to effectively deliver environmental and safety outcomes and provide advice to the Tallawarra Team.
This will include:
Providing advice, information and building upon the Tallawarra Power Station's existing capabilities across a range of environmental, health and safety systems and programs. Assisting the Tallawarra Power Station Team to operate within the EnergyAustralia and the CLP Group HSSE management system frameworks. Monitoring Tallawarra Power Station's compliance with Climate and Greenhouse related Laws and Regulations. Regularly monitoring and reviewing Tallawarra Power Station incidents and actions in the Integrated HSSE Management System. Chairing Tallawarra Power Station HSE meetings and leading safety conversations during other site meeting forums. This is a 12-month fixed term parental leave cover position. About You You are an experienced Environment and Safety Specialist with qualifications in environmental science/engineering and ideally Occupational Health and Safety. You'll provide EHS guidance, ensure compliance with ISO 14001 & 45001, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive safety and sustainability.
You will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or engineering. Demonstrated experience in an environment, health and safety advisory role that is adaptable to the energy generation industry. Ability to provide advice on the application of environmental, health and safety legislation, standards, and industry guidance material. An understanding of ISO 14001 & 45001 management systems.
