The Role An exciting opportunity has become available for Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our brand-new Energy & Resources practice supporting partner Natalie Lonergan. We are open to considering candidates based in Sydney or Brisbane. The team works across the oil and gas, LNG, hydrogen, SAF, renewables, electricity and mining industry sectors. Your responsibilities will include legal advisory, contract negotiation and drafting, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and client relationship management. Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will have between 3-5 years' PQE in the energy and resources sector. You will be genuinely passionate about the energy industry. You will have extensive transactional experience (acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, or other project structuring / project development transactions). Experience in the oil and gas and energy sectors is preferred, but we also encourage other lawyers with transactional experience to apply. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues to clients in a clear and concise manner.
