Your opportunity
You'll contribute to Queensland's energy transition and join a highly motivated team to develop and deliver data-driven digital initiatives to achieve successful business outcomes.
Reporting to our Enterprise Data Manager, as our Data Delivery Lead you will be responsible for the delivery of data products and services. By leading a cross functional team in the technical delivery of new capability for the Enterprise Intelligence Digital Platforms you will lay the foundation for an agile, flexible and data driven organisation.
Based at any major QLD, you'll draw on your strong technical skills, providing strategic direction and expert advice to a team of developers, modellers, programmers, analysts and digital partners within the organisation.
You will lead a team of technical experts based in Newstead and be an escalation for Senior Business Leaders on any pertinent matters relating to data product delivery. You will be working closely with the Digital Leadership Team to implement all aspects of the new Digital operating model.
Amplify your impact: Manage the delivery of Enterprise Intelligence data products and services by enabling team success through active delivery support and guidance and continuously optimise the Platform's delivery framework taking care to ensure that the technology and solutions are appropriate and meet requirements. Manage and develop talented teams in delivering a challenging roadmap of data driven digital initiatives whilst maintaining best practice approaches to delivering stable and quality deliverables and ensure the team purpose and objectives are clear and linked to the broader strategy and customer roadmaps. Lead, plan, execute and report on the delivery initiatives including the business readiness activities required in delivering new digital capability to customers and operations whilst managing competing priorities to achieve business value and service level targets. Plan, co-ordinate and make decisions on how to best deliver the strategic, business and operational planning activities as required to ensure a balance between operational health and delivery across the platform. This position is graded as Professional & Managerial Grade Three. On a 10-day fortnight, the remuneration for your new role is from $199,836 per annum + 14.75% superannuation .

What you'll bring Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Business (or equivalent qualification), and/or demonstrated competence appropriate to the position. Technical skills on data platforms including but not limited to: Hana, Databricks, Oracle, and SQL including a demonstrated ability to implement and maintain data visualisation tools and systems. Significant demonstrated experience in leading dispersed and diverse agile technology teams to deliver continuous value for customers whilst fostering productive team dynamics, engage and enable teams and coach for performance. Significant demonstrated experience in creating effective team environments for people to innovate and learn, with a strong ability to lead others successfully through cultural, process, system and transformational change. Demonstrated domain knowledge relating to the development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise data solutions across both on premise and cloud-based solutions. Demonstrated ability in management of cloud-based data platforms and data warehouse solutions including knowledge relating to the development, implementation and maintenance of the domain. Demonstrated ability in building and delivering connected data ecosystems and defining and driving end-to-end data processes across a business. Proven ability to manage continuous improvement initiatives logically based on business priorities, cost of delay and the capacity available to execute new initiatives within the Platform whilst maintaining platform health.
