About the RoleThis is an ideal opportunity for an Energy Markets professional who is looking for the next step in their career. The role interfaces with the internal global operations control centre team, asset managers and plant performance managers, and it is responsible for managing market compliance obligations and Control Centre communications for a portfolio of wind and solar projects.
Responsibilities: Lead real-time operations, ensuring compliance with market directives and optimizing asset performance.Formulate and execute strategies for maximizing revenue and managing risk, incorporating automated bidding and active market participation.Develop and implement strategies to enhance revenue generation across assets, including wind, solar, and battery storage.Provide guidance on market aspects for new projects, including contract negotiations and system implementation.Ensure regulatory compliance, maintain strong relationships with relevant regulatory bodies, and manage compliance systems effectively.Manage settlement processes, ensuring precise financial oversight, reconciliation, and reporting.Skills & Experience: Relevant experience of managing electricity generation registrations and license applications in Australia.Detailed knowledge of The Australia Energy Market Operator, National Electricity Rules and the Australian Energy Regulator.Experience in energy market operations and compliance, asset operations or asset management.Strong working knowledge of NEM wholesale spot market operations including bidding.A degree in business/commerce/economics or Engineering (or equivalent).Benefits: Work for a successful renewable company.Stable full-time position.Excellent salary.How to Apply:If you are interested and believe you have the required experience, please apply now with your updated CV and cover letter to Geoffrey Fabregat.
