Position: Energy Components - System Developer Location: Australia Open for: FTC / Sub contract - Initial 6 Months with Possible extensions Technical Capabilities: Good knowledge of EC (Energy components) Transport, Sales and Revenue moduleBusiness knowledge of Gas dispatchingGood knowledge of databases like ORACLE, SQLJava backend/frontend programmingOracle database modelling and PL/SQL programmingApp Server / Web Container – WildFlyPowerBI or a similar business analytic tool is a bonusRequirements: Be actively part of a team that designs, develops, and tests complex technology solutions for our client's highly customised Energy Component's hydrocarbon accounting environment.Provision of high-quality technical capabilities in application design, development, and testing services across our client's Grid Systems.Responsible for implementing appropriate technical solution development and technical supporting BAU handover practices.Providing quality design and development services across energy components and integration technologies.Develop and document configuration scripts, software codes, and other associated technical and functional specifications from end-user requirements, as well as system documentation for change requests.Technical excellence with EC software development and support of tools that support the preparation of designs, estimates and planning for any enhancement or development delivered by Grid Program.Analyse and solve complex customer issues related to data and processes.Together with Energy Components Leaders, drive the continuous evolution of development frameworks, standards and work practices, aligned to Industry and best practice.Provide technical leadership and support within the software development Team.
This includes but is not limited to identification and management of risk, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, developing workforce capability, developing standards, procedures and governance documentation to support the operating model.Skills Required: Working knowledge of gas transmission-related products and services.Ability to participate in a team that provides design and development services across energy components and integration technologies.Working knowledge of the processes and practices that support IT Service Management.Experience working with Project Delivery frameworks / methodologies, preferably including Agile and DevOps work practices.Quality communication skills and the emotional intelligence to lead and develop staff and to negotiate, persuade and influence internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated customer service focus, working and consulting with stakeholders to fully address client needs.Demonstrated analytical and complex problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability, and desire, to mentor less experienced team members from all cultural backgrounds.We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, without regard to age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, race, religion, or belief.
