Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Energy Analyst who will bridge the technical and commercial aspects of our business, working closely with our customers in Australia and the broader region, and also with our data science and product engineering team. You will bring your expert knowledge of Australian energy markets and clean energy project development to help drive our growth in the region.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Become a technical expert in the Gridcog modelling software for both internal and external stakeholders
Onboard new clients, providing expert modelling support, and responding to technical queries
Proactivly monitoring client modelling to ensure optimal utilisation of their pilot/subscription
Help maintain our Library of energy market prices, network tariffs, and project cost assumptions
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments both here in Australia and around the world
Support the marketing team by writing blog posts and producing videos to share Gridcog's industry insights
Support the product team in coming up with new ideas for the software, and acting as an industry expert
Support the business development team by answering technical queries from prospective customers

Have a passionate interest in the energy transition, with a learning mindset, and strong intrinsic motivation
Some professional experience in the Australian power sector (this could in relation to electricity retailing, wholesale trading or energy market analysis, renewable project development, or e-mobility and electrification)
Some knowledge of Australian energy markets, you will understand different commercial options available to clean energy technologies like solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging
Very strong analytical skills, with some prior hands-on experience in tools such as Excel, Tableau, Python, or R
Exceptional communication skills with a strong sense of customer empathy
