We are seeking Energetic Materials Specialists to join our talent pool for upcoming work at DSTG's Edinburgh facility in South Australia—a hub of excellence for research, development, and testing of ordnance and energetic materials.
About DSTG Edinburgh DSTG Edinburgh conducts cutting-edge research into energetic materials, including explosives, propellants, and pyrotechnics, to support Australia's national security and defence capabilities.
The work involves: Designing and developing new ordnance and associated equipment.Characterising and evaluating energetic materials for both novel and in-service applications.
Conducting firing trials, testing, processing, and analysis of energetic materials.
Synthesis and formulation of explosives, pyrotechnics, and related energetic materials.
Supporting storage, logistics, breakdown, and disposal of ordnance and explosive materials.
Conducting inspections, audits, and stock-takes of munitions and explosives.
Who We're Looking For We are building a network of skilled professionals with: Australian Citizenship Tertiary qualifications in chemistry, physics, engineering, or a related scientific field.
Specialist training and experience in explosive ordnance and energetic materials.
Experience in any of the following areas Concept design and development of ordnance prototypes.
Manufacture, synthesis, and characterization of energetic materials.
Firing trials, testing, breakdown, and evaluation of munitions.
Management of research, storage, and disposal facilities for explosives.
Auditing, inspecting, and stock-taking of weapons and munitions.
Strong understanding of safety protocols, standards, and regulatory compliance for explosive materials.
