Wollongong Private Hospital – Wollongong NSWAn exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Endoscopy Nurse advancing to a Clinical Nurse Specialist role at Wollongong Private Hospital.As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will act as a clinical and professional resource demonstrating broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all facets of caring for patients.The role will see you oversee Endoscopy audits, quality management, education, policy/procedure review and compliance.
You will demonstrate a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills within the clinical setting and be supported by The Perioperative Management team to ensure the efficient running of Endoscopy lists and maintenance of all equipment with the Endoscopy unit.Key responsibilities involve:Facilitate the smooth operation of the Endoscopy department with a can-do attitude and a strong customer service focusBuild strong relationships with Staff, offering expert guidance and mentoring with emphasis on safety, opportunity, education and standardsMonitor and observe all regulatory standards associated with the use, storage and reprocessing of reusable EndoscopesContribute to the education and orientation of clinical staff to the department and make a valuable contribution to the continuous improvement processes of the hospital.Your Essential Skills and ExperienceRelevant registration with the AHPRA as a Registered NurseMinimum 5 years' Endoscopy experienceUnderstanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registrationProven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as requiredAbility to ensure excellence in customer serviceCompetent in all areas of Endoscope management, including regulatory requirementsCurrent member of GENCAGENCA fundamental endoscopic reprocessing trainingWillingness to contribute and participate in the education of all levels of staff involved in EndoscopyCertificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or working towardsCOGEN credentialed Gastroenterology NurseRemunerationA base hourly rate ranging from $53.56 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (NSW Clinical Nurse/Mid Specialist).What's in it for you?Professional Advancement: Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
