Job Description: Join an Organisation where we serve something Greater; See Something Greater; and Strive for Something Greater! ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE: We welcome applications for experienced Endoscope Reprocessing Technicians to join our established Theatre Department at our Fitzroy campus!
The successful candidate will be employed on a permanent basis and be able to be flexible in available work hours- Monday to Saturday – AM & PM shifts rostered. You will also be required to participate in our On Call Roster system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Sterilising Technicians must ensure they are able to effectively clean and process a flexible endoscope. Preventing transmission of health care associated infections and minimising infection and prevention and control risks. Successful completion of HICMR assessment through observational and verbal assessment of appropriate practice by correctly processing all scopes within the unit. Responsible for the maintenance of micro testing schedule for scopes and sterilisation systems. Solid knowledge base of scan care tracking sterilisation system. ABOUT YOU: You will have experience as an Endoscope Reprocessing Technician, with knowledge and understanding of reprocessing of surgical instrumentation, and are a master in all areas of Sterilising department.
Your skills will include:
Certificate III Sterilisation services. Good communication skills. Good time management. Prior experience working in a Sterilising Unit and/or reprocessing endoscopes. Good computer skills.
