The Contracts: Ongoing, Part Time or Full Time, total of 1.2 EFT available – please specify your desired EFT in your application.
The Position: In this role you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide patient centred, compassionate nursing care using the principles of evidence based practice to improve care delivery.
As part of a multifaceted clinical environment, you will be exposed to a broad range of patient presentations and clinical situations providing great opportunities to grow your skills.

Recent acute medical or surgical nursing experience is preferred Well-developed clinical assessment skills with the ability to apply the escalation of care principles.
A good understanding of discharge planning and transition of care issues so as to achieve safe and timely discharge.

About the Team: Tambo ward contains 34 beds with a 4 bed higher acuity area.
The unit provides care for a large spectrum of medical conditions and post-operative care for gynaecology, urology, gastroenterology and general surgery patients.
The ward has facilities for cardiac monitoring via both mobile telemetry units and fixed monitors.
