Endocrinology Senior Registrar

The Position: This is a 12 month fulltime position for a Endocrinology Senior Registrar.  You will provide a high standard of medical care to inpatients and outpatients of the Alice Springs Hospital, which includes patients transported from the fringing townships of Western and South Australia.

The Facility: The unit has a 24 bed general rehabilitation ward dealing with a wide case mix of adult rehabilitation.
This ranges from stroke/neurological, amputee, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopaedic and multiple trauma.
There is extensive exposure to the Indigenous culture and opportunities to attend Outreach clinics.
A private hospital with a rehabilitation ward is also collocated at Royal Darwin Hospital.
Outpatient clinics cover prosthetics/orthotics, chronic pain, stroke and brain injury.
Exposure to intrathecal pumps and botulinum toxin injections is available.
There is also onsite hydrotherapy facilities and extensive allied health service.
