To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria: Have NDIS funding. Be in receipt of the Disability Support Pension. The right to work in Australia. Able to get to and from the workplace in Maryborough. Working hours are Monday to Thursday - 6.00am until 4.00pm. Responsibilities: (All training is provided) Support the processing of ethical timber into Hardwood Crossarms for electrical networks in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, and processing ethical timber into landscape posts and 2nds for stakes and pegs for local businesses by:
Manual handling of timber. Operating machinery including drill machine and pop-up docker. Using hand tools including drills, planers, and airless spray gun. Skills and Experience: Lived experience with a disability. Enjoy hands-on and physical work. Able to work outdoors. Follow workplace health and safety procedures. Communication skills and understanding. Follow directions from team members. A positive team-based attitude. Experience in the timber industry is desirable but not essential. Learn new skills and gain confidence at work. Make new friends. Earn money and build your independence. Feel satisfied in a rewarding job. Work in an active and outdoors environment.
