The Gippsland Health Alliance (GHA) currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated EMR Change and Communication Officer to join our growing team on a full time, fixed term basis until November 2025 .
The EMR Change and Communications Officer will play a vital role in supporting the successful implementation of change initiatives, particularly those related to our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) project. This position focuses on developing and executing communication strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring that our change management processes are effectively supported.
Key responsibilities Communication Strategy and execution: Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies and plans. Create and deliver communication materials that clearly convey change messages. Stakeholder engagement: Support the identification and analysis of key stakeholders. Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities and address concerns related to change initiatives. Change communication: Manage communication channels to ensure timely dissemination of information. Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness and adjust as needed. Support for Change Management: Collaborate with the Change Manager to align communication activities with change management plans. Assist in preparing impact analyses and change readiness assessments. Risk and Resistance Management: Support the identification of communication-related risks and resistance. Develop strategies to address and mitigate resistance. About you Ideal candidates for this role will have:
An Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, or a relevant field (essential). Experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of Change Management principles. Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies with a strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and exceptional communication skills. Ability to work with various stakeholders and manage multiple tasks effectively. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
