Law Staff is partnering with a rapidly expanding government organisation based in Brisbane CBD who is seeking to appoint Workplace Relations and Employment Lawyers on full-time fixed term contracts until 30 June 2025 with potential extension.

Working Closely Alongside Industry Leaders You Will Provide Advise On a Broad Range Of Matters Which Will Involve Drafting And Advising On
Employment agreements and contracts; Drafting and advising on enterprise agreements; General protection issues including unfair dismissal proceedings and unlawful terminations, discrimination, workplace harassment, and bullying claims; Workplace health and safety risk management advice as well as prosecution defence work; and restraint of trade issues.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
A minimum of 3 years post admission experience within a workplace relations and employment law group; Admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland; Eligibility or enrolment to practice in the Federal and High Courts of Australia; Working knowledge of relevant legislation including Industrial Relations Act 1999, Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Public Service Act 2008; Exceptional drafting skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills of a high professional standard; A high level of commercial acumen and the ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a team environment.
