We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Program Manager to lead and optimise the delivery of Queensland Government-funded programs in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. This position requires managing a diverse team of contract managers while ensuring alignment with the Government's skills development goals. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding leadership, organisational, and communication abilities to effectively oversee a multi-dimensional team and coordinate multiple projects within a funded program.
The Contract Management Team is responsible for the management of Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) agreements including assisting and educating SAS in meeting their obligations under the agreement and Queensland Government funded training programs. The team also conducts a range of assurance activities to monitor SAS performance and compliance.
About the role As the Program Manager, you will:
Collaborate with and assist the Director, Contract Management, and the Executive Director, Skills Investment in identifying, initiating, managing and evaluating a range of vocational education and training policies and programs to ensure the Government's skills development objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively. Lead program/project identification and implementation, high level planning, financial and human resource management, operations management, high level research and policy development and advice. Positively contribute to the team environment, managing teams and coordinating positive working relationships and partnerships with clients and stakeholders on difficult and complex operational issues. Oversee risk identification, including the assessment and management and recommend best practice strategies to minimise risk exposure and maximise opportunities. Participate and provide advice on policy, policy development and management activities including operational and strategic planning. Lead and coordinate reporting requirements.
