About the role As the Director, Digital Solutions you will specifically:
Lead and manage the development and implementation of DESBT's ICT activities by providing direction and oversight to ensure departmental strategic objectives are met, through the provision of authoritative and expert advice. Manage the delivery of a program of work within the current VET Systems by leading and directing multi-disciplinary employees ensuring the successful integration of activities is achieved and completed within timeframes, budget and quality standards. Monitor governance and performance of IT service delivery in the department, including providing advice to the Chief Information Officer on developing appropriate action plans that maximise potential benefits. Develop and maintain professional working partnerships with vendors, other government agencies and across DESBT to collaborate with senior managers and governance working groups in the achievement of business plans, departmental priorities and related government agenda items. What we are looking for The position requires an applicant who can:
Lead a large team of ICT professionals delivering critical services and the management of current VET Systems to the Department. Provide strategic transformational leadership in the development and implementation of innovative solutions. Provide leadership to a range of strategic business and ICT related boards/committees throughout the Department. Respond to changing and evolving priorities in a dynamic, maturing environment. Proactively negotiate and influence outcomes through well-developed and timely communication and engagement approaches. Lead and motivate a positive team environment that provides fit-for-purpose ICT outcomes and solutions by encouraging an innovative and high-performing team culture.
