We are secretive about what we do, not what we value.The opportunityAs an Employment Relations Officer your primary focus will be on promoting positive working relationships, resolving conflicts and ensuring compliance with employment law.
You will provide advice and support to employees and managers in relation to employment conditions, performance management, Code of Conduct, grievances and dispute resolution.
You will also assist with the development, review and implementation of Organisational policies and procedures.Role responsibilitiesAs an Employment Relations Officer in ASIO, you will:Respond to and provide advice to staff and management on queries related to complaints and ASIO's Code of Conduct.Progress and manage Code of Conduct complaints including (under supervision) the administration of complex case management investigations related to workplace behaviour and conduct matters.Provide guidance to staff to ensure consistent interpretation and application of Organisational policies and frameworks.What you will bringWe invite applications from people with the following attributes:Knowledge of employment laws and government regulations.Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.What we offer youASIO provides a number of benefits to its staff including:A competitive salary, including a 7.5 per cent allowance for maintaining a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance.Employer superannuation contributions of 15.4 per cent.A variety of leave options, in addition to the standard 4 weeks annual leave to ensure your work-life balance.Flexible working arrangements to assist you to maintain your work-life balance.

Conditions of service are similar to those applying in the Australian Public Service.
