Due to the continuous success and growth of our business, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Brighton Support Office team as an Employment Relations Advisor. The role is Part Time (0.8) - 4 days per week. Who Are We? The role: Reporting to our HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading employment relations processes, compliance, and projects to ensure appropriate outcomes, resolution, and industry best practice.
Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting HR strategies that drive high performance business results Oversee all ER cases end to end, ensuring high quality documentation and record keeping Partner with HR Business Partners to coach and advise leaders on performance management processes, ensuring best practice tools, resources, and support are available to leaders across the organisation. Conduct workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and outcomes ensuring Australia and New Zealand guidelines are met and employee experience is upheld Provide expert advice and coaching on performance management, investigations, grievances, and industrial relations matters Support HR team with policy development, change management, and training initiatives. Support and represent the business on external mediation processes with FairWork and Employment Relations Authority NZ. Support HR projects that are aimed at improvement of processes to enhance employee experience and drive organisational effectiveness. Support HR & Payroll Compliance processes to ensure policies, procedures, contracts, and payroll is in accordance with industry awards and standards Oversee grievance & ER reporting, identify trends and provide insights to key stakeholders Support and assist all facets of the business in undertaking and implementing HR processes including but not limited to, performance appraisals, disciplinary processes, training & development activities, policies, and processes. Facilitate and guide leaders through the corrective action process and termination processes, ensuring guidance in line with State, Federal legislation and Fair Work/Modern Award. Contribute to HR and Employee experience projects and initiatives proactively. The successful Employment Relations Advisor will have the following: 3+ years HR Generalist experience of AUS/NZ practices. Experience with the retail industry is preferred Proven and demonstrated experience working with an employment relations focused HR role. Previous experience working within a growth organisation would be advantageous. Strong understanding and experience working with Modern Awards, policy development, and compliance Experience in New Zealand employment practices would be advantageous A strong understanding of Human Resource activities across the employee life cycle including legal compliance and associated HR legislative requirements. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. What's in it for you?
