It features purpose-built modern amenities including medical wards, a cultural centre and vocational training facilities, utilising cutting-edge technology to keep the facility secure and support the rehabilitation of people in custody.The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group plays an integral role in developing safer communities and delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.About the RoleThe Employment Pathway Specialist will oversee employment services to meet the diverse needs of prisoners. This role will be integral in delivering new employment initiatives that assist prisoners into employment, facilitating collaboration with industry, social enterprise groups, and support service agencies.The Employment Pathway Specialist will have oversight of the employment portfolio, driving strategic development, planning, and implementing systems that deliver and monitor employment programs to prisoners. Supervising a small team of Employment Pathway Officers, the Employment Pathway Specialist will have exceptional leadership, people management, and communication skills.Some of your duties will include:Proactively develop and maintain partnership arrangements with organisations that deliver employment services for offenders in the community, and with employers committed to providing employment opportunities to offenders.Develop and maintain formal governance structures in support of established partnerships.Ensure accurate, clear, and appropriate communication with partners and internal stakeholders.Support/coach internal and/or partner staff to assume responsibility for maintenance of partnerships.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated understanding of employment-related service systems.Demonstrated knowledge of the employment sector at both State and Commonwealth levels.Highly developed understanding of long-term unemployed and marginalised clients.How to ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
