About the role:
As an Employment Consultant, you will form part of a team that get a real buzz out of helping people develop and achieve their end goal of gaining further skills and sustainable employment.
You will manage your own caseload of jobseekers, assisting them to overcome various personal barriers that have been preventing them from gaining employment, and working with local employers to find innovative ways to support your clients into work.
You will be professional and able to work within procedural guidelines, using a database to log details, notes and create progress reports on each jobseeker. In addition, you will be required to source job opportunities within the local community through business development activities and networking. The role is targeted and has KPIs around sustainable job placements that meet jobseeker needs and expectations.
There are two positions currently available in either South Brisbane or Fortitude Valley.
To be successful you will have: Experience working within the employment services sector, ideally within Jobactive, Workforce Australia, TtW or Disability Employment Services End to end case management experience and familiarity with the ESS database An insight and understanding into the significant barriers facing people living with a disability and the long-term unemployed Excellent networking skills and be willing to conduct business development activities with local business and community organisations The ability to mentor and coach jobseekers through the job search process Demonstrated qualities of resilience, empathy, integrity and compassion A good understanding of local labour market issues A results and outcomes focused approach and the ability to work to KPIs and targets Excellent time management and organisational ability Effective written and oral communication skills The ability to obtain a clear check police and working with children's check Applications:
