This role provides expert legal advice on employment law and industrial relations matters, supporting our organisation's compliance with relevant legislation. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that legal risks are effectively managed, and contribute to the strategic direction of our mission-driven organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide in-house legal advice focusing on employment law and industrial relations.Collaborate with internal teams and external legal representatives to support key strategic projects.Provide legal guidance on Enterprise Agreement interpretations and assist with negotiations.Offer expert advice on employment disputes and draft and review employment contracts.Monitor legislative changes and industry best practices, recommending updates to policies and procedures.Develop and implement employment-related compliance policies, actively contributing to risk management.Support organisational strategies, promote a culture aligned with our mission and values, and deliver high-quality services.Qualifications and SkillsEssential:Degree or postgraduate qualification in Law.Admission as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland.Current Queensland Law Society Practising Certificate (or ability to acquire immediately).4-5 years of post-admission experience in employment law and industrial relations.Experience with Enterprise Agreements, Fair Work Commission, and Fair Work Ombudsman matters.Proven ability to negotiate Enterprise Agreements and manage complex IR matters.Strong relationship and influencing skills, with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Current National Police Certificate and National Personal Insolvency Check (or willingness to acquire).Current driver's licence.Desirable:Experience in the aged care industry or not-for-profit sector.Experience in wage compliance projects.What We OfferOpportunity to work in a values-driven organisation with a meaningful mission.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Competitive salary and benefits.This role is a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension.Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust, Wise Stewardship and Safety.To ApplyTo apply for this position please click the Apply Button.
