About the opportunity: As an Employer Engagement Officer (EEO) you will deliver high-level customer service through an account management model. You will be part of a team that provides tailored employment-related services to employers with the aim of sourcing employment opportunities for our customers. As the EEO, you are the localized point of contact for all established and new employer relationships, partnering with stakeholders to create suitable and sustainable employment opportunities and programs to support job placements for our customers. You will develop great networks with stakeholders and empower our customers, supporting them into sustainable employment, building their independence, and improving their wellbeing. It is an engaging, challenging, and rewarding role.
Being an Employer Engagement Officer involves: Working with employers and industry to understand their businesses and staffing needs.Vacancy management and matching vacancies to customers.Visiting employers on the work site to reverse market customers to available jobs.Marketing customers to Employers using all available means of support including wage subsidies where appropriate.Coaching customers to ensure they are interview ready.Facilitating small groups of customers to understand their employment goals.Maintaining Department IT systems and internal database of all vacancy management and employer relationships.About You: You are passionate about your community and connecting people to opportunities.You are results-driven but people-focused - always.You have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, liaise, and consult with a wide range of stakeholders.You understand the local labour market and regional skills shortages.You utilize your professionalism and finely-honed customer service skills when providing support to our customers.You are proficient in computer applications, including Windows and MS Office suite.You may have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Employment Services or sales/marketing industries.You hold a current driver's licence and are willing to undertake a satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Card as a pre-condition of employment.What we will also Offer You: Attractive base salary, enhanced by salary packaging benefits increasing your take-home pay up to $15,900 per year.Monthly paid Accrued Days Off (ADO) - Available for Full-time employees.Employee Assistance program including individual coaching and access for immediate family members.Ability to obtain discounted private health insurance.Access to discounts for everyday shopping purchases.A supportive team environment committed to making a difference in the communities we live and work in.Ongoing development opportunities, individual training budget, and career growth.How to apply: To apply for this position, please attach your current resume and a cover letter that addresses the key Selection Criteria listed above.
