About the organisation
We are excited to partner with a prominent organisation in Queensland to find an Employee Relations Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a significant impact in an innovative, forward-thinking company. Due to the urgent nature of this role, we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. This is a sole contributor role, where you will be responsible for driving employee relations strategies that align with the company's practices and relevant laws. This role starts as a contract position with the potential to become permanent.
About the role
In this position, you will provide leadership and recommend effective employee relations strategies aligned with the companies' organisational culture, practices, policies, and relevant laws. You will proactively manage the employee relations strategy by identifying opportunities to address common issues and support organisational changes. As ER Manager, you will offer advice, support, and direction on escalated grievances, complex employee issues, union and management practices, structural changes, and redundancy proposals. Additionally, you will, enhance frameworks and complaints handling policies through employee, leader, and stakeholder engagement, while applying a human-centric approach and organisational justice. You will develop managers and supervisors in best practices for employee relations, focusing on managing supervisor problems and employee grievances effectively.
About you You have extensive experience in developing and implementing employee and industrial relations strategies and frameworks; You exhibit in-depth knowledge of employee relations, industrial relations, and change management principles, with proven practical application; You possess excellent communication and influencing skills; Your strategic capabilities are demonstrated through the successful development and delivery of People and Culture projects, strategies, initiatives, and programs; You have a comprehensive understanding of human resources legislative standards, including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Respect, and Psychosocial legislation; and A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or a related field is required.
