The Firm & The Role
Our client is one of Australia's leading commercial law firms and they are rapidly growing their commercial team. This firm acts for household brand clients in the IT and Telco sectors as well as government clients (both Federal and State).
This partner's experience and pedigree are impressive and they are known for working on major IT & Telco contracts as procurement and probity work.
A flavour of the work will include:
Software and SaaS agreements
M&A transactions for clients in the IT industry
E-commerce and off-shore outsourcing
High value contracts for government clients
Drafting tender and associated tender documents
Advising on probity and procurement projects
Advising on corporate governance
Advising on privacy, data protection and cyber security
Advising on competition and trade practices issues
General commercial and corporate advice to clients in the IT, telecommunications and media industries
This is a 'hands on' role where you will work closely with the partner and their clients. You will be given client responsibility and as this team is not top heavy, there is a genuine career path that can be fast tracked for the ambitious candidate.
About You
You will have:
Around 3 to 10 years pae in the area of contracts or commercial law, gained from private practice, in-house or government
Highly desirable will be experience in ICT and/or digital law
Experience in procurement will be highly regarded
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Able to juggle competing deadlines
Be a team player but also be able to work autonomously
Enthusiasm and a pro-active approach to your work
