We're very excited to be partnering with our client to support with the addition of a Senior Product Designer to their growing team. The company is a community focused, Melbourne based start up. They exist to empower every person to improve shared spaces around them, and do so across Australia and New Zealand. The platform allows anyone to report community issues to local council, governing bodies and utilities.
As the Senior Product Designer, you'll work across the entire product suite, including iOS and Android native apps, web-based client portal and consumer-facing website.
This role is reporting to a very supportive Head of Product. You'll work closely within the product/engineering team and more broadly with marketing, sales and customer success. An exciting moment significantly contributing to innovations, enhancements and playing a pivotal role in crafting engaging user experiences.
As the Senior Product Designer, you'll:
Be responsible for understanding user needs and business opportunities Work across the entire design process, from discovery and ideation to iteration and implementation Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas, gather feedback and validate designs Work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of designs, balancing design vision and technical feasibility Own the design system Figma libraries, focusing on building smart, responsive components Own the visual and brand consistency across all products and communications touchpoints Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, tools and best practices in UX/UI design and incorporate them into our designs and processes You're a great match if you:
Are highly experienced in digital product design for both apps and websites, with a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design Bring order and simplicity to complex interactions Are proactively on the lookout for problems and opportunities to improve the end user experience Love collaborating and are able to iterate based on feedback Take pride in your craft and obsess over the details Take a user-centred design approach in everything you do Bonus (but not necessary):
Proficiency in motion design tools such as After Effects Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment Experience in conducting user research and testing If you're passionate about design and making a positive impact in your community, please get in touch.
