This newly created role, reporting to the Coordinator: Emergency Services & Security, supports the Emergency Services Officer (ESO) in achieving operational and commercial targets. In addition to delivering a comprehensive emergency response and security service, this role plays a key part in shaping and fostering development pathways within the Emergency Services and Security team, empowering individuals to grow their skills and advance their careers.

This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.
Benefits include: 6% Site Allowance & Quarterly Bonus Scheme & Private Health Insurance AllowanceVirgin Velocity reward pointsIncreased annual leave entitlementsContinual training and ability to expand your careerSalary Sacrifice optionsAbout the role: Deliver the site security management plan, inclusive of personnel and vehicle searches; card access control, NPC clearance reviews, drug and alcohol testing, vehicle and foot patrols, site entry access duties and CCTV monitoring as required.Assist with security related audits inclusive of ISO 27001 to ensure site conformance.Demonstrate and maintain a sound level of knowledge and understanding of underground & surface mining operations, haulage mineral processing and shared use infrastructure to enable a strong understanding of the risks associated with known and potential emergency response scenarios and activities at Granny Smith Mine.Contribute to the delivery of a qualified emergency response service by partaking in training and assisting ESO with real-life accident/emergency situations taking direction from delegated personnel.Support ESO with the development of routine ERT skills training, first aid, skills maintenance training and ERT field scenario training for the Emergency Response Team.Support ESO in updating and training of Emergency Crisis and Emergency Management processes on site.Conduct internal audits and inspections on Emergency response equipment, ensuring equipment is maintained and in serviceable condition.About you: Certificate II in Security (Operations) or higherAdvanced First Aid and CPRCertificate HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse TestingCert III in Mines Rescue - Competence in Closed Circuit Regenerative Breathing Apparatus, Open Circuit Breathing Apparatus, Fire Suppression, Hazmat, Rope Rescue, Vehicle Extrication - desirablePossess a valid manual driver's licence, HR - desirable.Experience in INX, SAP, Gallagher, HiK Vision and Indigo Vision – desirable.We are committed to achieving a diverse and inclusive workforce, and strongly encourage applications from female, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, as well as candidates with culturally diverse backgrounds.
