The Role
The successful candidates will become members of a hardworking and committed team responsible for the coordination and training activities of our site Emergency Response Team while ensuring a high level of emergency preparedness is always maintained.
You will be responsible for:
Leading the response to emergencies on or off site, in line with our procedures.Performing inspections to determine the level of compliance with our HSE Management System and legislative requirements.Developing and maintaining Rescue Plans and Emergency Response procedures as part of the Permit to Work system on site.Undertaking servicing and maintenance tasks for designated safety, fire protection, emergency response equipment, and vehicles.Maintaining the competency of emergency response team volunteers to ensure a high level of emergency preparedness.Assisting with security-related issues as necessary. This role would suit an Emergency Response Professional looking to build their career in mining.
You will also have:
Formal Qualifications in Emergency Response - Hazchem, BA, Fire, Road Crash Rescue, Heights & Confined Space Rescue (Essential).Certificate IV Pre-Hospital Care (Essential).Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing - HLTPAT005 or equivalent accredited course (Essential).Current & valid Manual C and MR class driver's licences (Essential).Certificate II Asset Protection / Management (Fire Systems) (Advantageous).Certificate IV Training and Assessing.Previous experience in a similar role and environment.
