If you possess motivation and seek a fresh challenge, Cook is the ideal destination for you.The Role:As the Emergency Services Coordinator at Cook Colliery, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance of Standard 8 (Emergency Services).
We offer an attractive rotation, along with a competitive salary for the successful candidate.
This role will support and enhance the site in emergency preparedness, planning and response, including responding to site emergencies and maintaining all site equipment in a state of operational readiness.Key Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and formal fire prevention and self-escape system audits in accordance with legislative requirements and industry best practice for both underground & surface equipment and infrastructure.Conduct annual fire fighting water pressure tests.Conduct staff fire operations training, and oversee the site mine rescue team.Maintain records ensuring compliance of Standard 8 (Emergency Services).Prepare and maintain emergency response equipment and first aid for both surface and underground.Review and streamline the current emergency services processes, procedures, plans and policies for ongoing improvement.Qualifications and Requirements:Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (mandatory).Previous experience in emergency management within mining or heavy industry environment.Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate and manage competing priorities whilst adhering to compliance deadlines.Standard 11 & coal board medical (highly advantageous).RIIERR201D – Conduct Fire Team Operations (highly advantageous).Underground Deputies Certificate or in the process of obtaining (highly advantageous).Why Cook Colliery:Innovation: Be part of a team that embraces innovation and leverages cutting-edge technologies to shape the future of mining.Collaboration: Work alongside industry experts, amplifying your skills and contributing to groundbreaking projects.Growth: Join us in our journey of expansion and growth, where your contributions will make a lasting impact.Discover Your Potential:Cook Colliery is where your expertise will shine brighter than ever before.
