The Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Administration Support Officer role provides support to the operational staff, who provide 24/7 call receipt and dispatch ambulance response to the South Australian Public.
Key responsibilities include supporting roster management, distributing mail, receiving visitors to the EOC, arranging peer support for staff, customer service to members of the public.
This is an opportunity to play an integral role in supporting staff who deal with requests for emergency ambulance response.
To be successful in the role, you will enjoy working in a team environment, have attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills and experience using computer-based programs.
Your induction will involve training and mentoring to support learning the skills required to perform the role.
This position requires flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities: Statistical Reporting and Data Analysis: - Monitor and report on EOC performance against defined indicators and trends.
- Assist with developing relevant databases, journals, and other documents.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting, including ad hoc reporting.
Operational and Resource Planning: - Assist in coordinating and organizing staffing levels within the EOC.
- Provide reports and information on staffing, activity, leave allocation, and recruitment needs.
- Manage and maintain the rostering database for the EOC.
- Support EOC Team Leaders in staff rostering and reporting.
Administrative Support within EOC: - Maintain and update EOC administrative systems, including filing systems and work instructions.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, and visitation programs.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and relevant discussion papers.
- Ensure up-to-date reference materials are available to all staff.
Counter Disaster Activities: - Contribute to the well-being of people in South Australia through participation in Counter Disaster activities.
- Attend training programs and exercises to develop necessary skills for disaster and major incident responses.
Occupational Health, Safety, and Welfare: - Comply with OHS&W and Workers Compensation legislation requirements, policies, procedures, and safe work practices implemented by SAAS.
- Report workplace hazards, injuries, and illnesses promptly.
- Assist in risk assessments of workplace hazards when requested.
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Complaint Investigation Support: - Liaise with internal and external clients to gather further information as part of a complaint investigation, as directed.
