The Position: This is an incredible opportunity to work as an Emergency Physician/Consultant at one of Victoria's largest facilities.

The Facility: This 300+ bed health service is the major healthcare provider in the region and is the principle referral hospital for the entire region.
It provides general and specialty medical and surgical services, emergency and intensive care, residential aged care, rehabilitation, oncology, mental health, maternity, paediatric services, and Hospital in the Home (HITH).
The department manages more than 60,000 patients annually, with around 25% of them being paediatric cases.
Additionally, there is a steady increase in admissions, which currently stands at 24-25%.
Furthermore, the department oversees a 12-bed Short Stay Unit under the ED's purview.
The department fosters a culture of supervision and support for junior medical staff, providing proactive training opportunities for Hospital Medical Officers (HMO) and Registrars, offering protected weekly training sessions, conducting multi-disciplinary morbidity and mortality (M&M) meetings, and implementing a responsive and constructive feedback program.
The facility is undertaking major investments; the new tower – set for completion in 2027 – will include a new emergency department, women and children's hub, state-of-the-art theatre suite, 100 additional inpatient and short stay beds, and a new helipad.
