Job Title: Emergency Medicine - Staff Specialist or Senior Medical Officer Location: Mackay QLD Remuneration: Up to $587,432 p.a.
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time and/or Permanent Part-Time About the Role: We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Consultant to join a dedicated team in a thriving regional health service.

Key Responsibilities:Manage a diverse range of cases, including 25% pediatrics and a significant trauma caseload.Provide expert clinical services within the Clinical Services Capability Framework and clinical privileges granted.Assist satellite hospitals and rural sites through Telehealth and in-person support.Contribute to innovative pre-hospital care models, including HITH and GEDI programs.Engage in the development of a new Emergency Department.Enjoy flexible and equitable rostering that balances service needs with academic priorities.Potential involvement in the Regional Aeromedical Retrieval Service.Participate in a successful postgraduate education and training program, including ACEM fellowship and diploma training.Provide clinical supervision and training for junior medical staff, medical students, and other health professionals.
