There are 30 sub-acute beds, 95 mental health beds, five intensive care beds, seven operating theatres, and 117 general beds. The hospital is a 337 bed health service that treated over 61,000 emergency presentations, more than 40,000 inpatients, and delivered 1650 babies in the last 12 months. The Emergency Department has approximately 60,000 presentations per year with an admission rate of 20% and paediatric presentations of 25%. The hospital is the Regional Trauma Referral Centre dealing with the full spectrum of Emergency Care with trauma and resuscitation and is also supported with 24 hour imaging and pathology services.
