About the role An exciting new opportunity has come available to join ARRCS as our Emergency Management Coordinator. This role will see you coordinating the Emergency Management processes and services for all ARRCS Aged Care facilities, Home Care and supporting offices and locations. You will provide support with the creation and updating of ARRCS Emergency Management Plan and provide advise and support to the management team when required. You will also manage the maintenance, contract, planning and implementation of capital improvements and or related projects to the fire and emergency safety systems. This is a full-time, permanent role at an annual salary of $100,000 gross base + superannuation + salary packaging options. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role. You will have strong knowledge of the NT Emergency Management requirements with emphasis on fire, flooding and cyclone. You will be a self-learner and be confident in your knowledge to advise, report and act on processes when required. In addition, you will enjoy educating and supporting our Service Manager within our facility on accurate processes and procedures. A Bachelor or Certificate in Emergency Management, Business Continuity and/or Fire Safety is preferred however, not essential. Access to 70,000 Training and Development Courses through our Learning Platform Benestar Employee Wellbeing & Emotional Support Skills & experience To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications: At least two years' experience in emergency management field such as fire safety, law enforcement. Able to deliver theoretical and practical scenario training to all levels of staff including ability to mentor local fire and emergency wardens. Current knowledge and demonstrated application of related legislation, standards and codes at an organisational level. Strong leadership with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to anticipate hazards and problems and respond effectively.
