Port Hedland, often referred to as "Cyclone Alley," experiences some of the highest rates of cyclonic activity in Australia, alongside the ever-present threat of bushfires. This unique environment offers an exceptional opportunity for an Emergency Management specialist to make a significant impact.This dynamic role involves designing and delivering bushfire mitigation activities, implementing pre-cyclone season strategies, coordinating exercises to test Local Emergency Management Arrangements and Business Continuity Plans and providing critical support to the organisation during an emergency.The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of state emergency response arrangements, experience in emergency and recovery management, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. To succeed in this position, you will also possess strong time management, attention to detail, and proactive attitude, along with high-level writing, verbal communication, desktop mapping, IT, and strategic planning skills.Join us in supporting the community in one of Australia's most vital regions.
