Port Hedland, often referred to as "Cyclone Alley," experiences some of the highest rates of cyclonic activity in Australia, alongside the ever-present threat of bushfires. This unique environment offers an exceptional opportunity for an Emergency Management specialist to make a significant impact.This dynamic role involves designing and delivering bushfire mitigation activities, implementing pre-cyclone season strategies, coordinating exercises to test Local Emergency Management Arrangements and Business Continuity Plans and providing critical support to the organisation during an emergency.The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of state emergency response arrangements, experience in emergency and recovery management, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
