This marks an important step as the ACT Government progresses toward the development of a new billion-dollar hospital on Canberra's Northside.
Currently, North Canberra Hospital is a level 4 facility that offers a variety of acute and sub-acute services, including community-based care, to residents of northern Canberra and Southern NSW. The hospital has 270 beds and operates a 24-hour Emergency Department. Inpatient services encompass general medicine, surgery, maternity, mental health, and critical care.
Additional services include day surgery, specialist outpatient clinics, Hospital in the Home, and the Geriatric Rapid Acute Care Evaluation service, which extends to aged care facilities across the ACT.
About The Role: As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your role will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' conditions.Developing and implementing tailored care plans.Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.Providing education and support to patients and their families.Evaluating patient outcomes and adapting care as needed.Minimum Qualifications: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.Experience in a critical care setting, with strong clinical skills and knowledge.Commitment to Professional Development: A desire to engage in ongoing education and training.For more information on this position and how to apply "click here" Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focused on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centred care.
