Salary $85K to $102K (pro rata) Part-time (30.4 hours/week) Join the ABC Emergency Broadcast team  Location: Perth or Regional WA negotiable The Job  The ABC is looking for an Emergency Broadcast Coordinator, based in WA.
You will be responsible for the coordination of ABC Regional emergency broadcasting before, during and after emergency events.
The role will involve: Coordinating and producing ABC Emergency coverage for radio and digital platforms.
Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, to ensure effective and measured responses during emergency coverage.
Liaising with all relevant emergency agencies to ascertain their expectations of, and response to the event to inform the ABC's approach to its coverage.
About You  You will bring sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills along with skills, knowledge and experience in an Emergency Broadcasting environment.
You will also bring:  Experience in planning, gathering and producing content across multiple platforms.
Advanced editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement Ability to build proactive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About ABC Emergency Broadcasting The ABC has a long history of helping the audience prepare before, during and after emergency events.
This includes coverage of bushfires, floods, storms, cyclones and other disasters which pose an on-going threat to life or significant property damage.
Emergency broadcasting is mainly undertaken by ABC teams in capital city radio stations and regional bureaux, state-wide Emergency Broadcast Coordinators and by the ABC Emergency digital team.
Through this work, the ABC provides reliable, accurate and timely information and warnings to its audience.
The information is shared on-air, online and via social media according to the ABC Emergency Broadcasting Policy.
