Northern Beaches Hospital is a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients from an outstanding facility with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors, and staff.
Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients.
The hospital features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, a 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, a world-class education centre, doctors lounge, and excellent staff facilities including café and car parking.

As the Emergency Admissions Manager, you will be responsible for providing operational direction through the Patient Services Manager and oversee the efficient and effective bookings, admissions, and switchboard of the Northern Beaches Hospital.
Customer Service is expected to be exceptional, and this is reflected by positive patient experience.
This role requires a hands-on approach to all areas of responsibility, with a significant supervisory/team leadership component.
The working days are Monday to Friday, full-time hours.
In this role, you will ensure that the department procedures are in place to provide a quality service, managing change, implementing strategies, and reviewing department processes.
Rostering for 3 Operational Teams on 24/7 rosters - Patient Liaison Officers, Emergency Department Admin, and Switchboard Operators, as well as managing with particular focus on ensuring accurate patient eligibility confirmation for all health funds, Public, DVA, third-party insurers, workers compensation, self-insured persons including the collection of patients' out-of-pocket expenses.
You will also participate in developing the department's operational plan in consultation with the Manager, staff, and other stakeholders along with working as part of the health care team, adhering to Healthscope and NBH policies and procedures, participating in working groups (as required), whilst demonstrating a commitment to quality improvement through National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, EQuiPNational, Work Health and Safety (WHS), and achievement of NBH accreditation.
To be successful in this role, you will also possess the following skills and experience: Minimum 2 years' experience working within a healthcare settingDemonstrated people leadership and supervisory skills (Lead from the front)Efficient and effective rostering (incl.
24/7)Established planning and organizational skills; ability to implement process improvementKnowledge of patient administration admission systemsKnowledge of health fund / DVA / third-party / workers compensation contractsWell-developed problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsSelf-directed and motivated with the ability to effectively plan and prioritizeExperience in managing/undertaking switchboard, customer service, and/or patient healthcare service rolesWell-developed professional communication skills (written and spoken)Employee Benefits:
