Using the latest industry technologies and practices, you will identify, analyze, and advise on adverse conditions and threats that could affect the safety, security and operational continuity of the client and its users.This is a fully remote role based in Australia and involves shift work on a "follow the sun" model and weekend work.ResponsibilitiesUse all-source intelligence (including alert feeds, traditional and social media, and in-house sources) to monitor security incidents and trends within the client's areas of operation.Support the Client's trust and safety function to monitor and respond to issues on or with the client's platform.Escalate security incidents to client stakeholders, following efficient and rehearsed procedures.Maintain visibility on employee movements and their proximity to notable incidents and events.Participate in training and drills to rehearse incident preparation and response SOPs.Support internal stakeholders with ad hoc reporting on geopolitical developments, scenario planning, forecasts and other related topics.Be an effective member of a dispersed small team, focused on the delivery of lean, high-impact services.Research and analyse a wide range of information to create insightful analysis in accordance with strict deadlines.RequirementsFluent in Japanese (written and verbal – with knowledge of terminology and slang used on social media platforms)Fluent in English (written and verbal)Bachelor's degree in international relations, Security Studies, Criminal Justice, Journalism, or related fieldAt least 1-3 years' experience in an intelligence or customer-focused role in geopolitical risk, corporate security, government, law enforcement or similarAbility to interpret, organise and visualise dataAbility to determine how geopolitical and security threats could impact private sector operations, travellers and sitesExcellent research skills, with the ability to rapidly digest, evaluate and "sift" large quantities of information from a range of sourcesAbility to provide rigorous, creative insight into complex situationsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced working environmentExcellent attention to detailHigh-level competency with MS Office and Google Workspace toolsMust have the right to work in AustraliaNice to haveAdvanced degree (Master's or above)Additional language skillsStrong professional networkExperience working in intelligence, geopolitical or security-related disciplinesFamiliarity with social media platforms, the gaming industry and legislative issues related to bothApplication ProcessInitial call with our Talent Acquisition team memberTimed written assessment to test writing and analytical capabilityPanel interview with some of the team members and hiring managers at SibyllineResearch indicates that certain groups are less likely to apply for a position unless they meet every single requirement.
