Jye Lewis View Jye's Profile Your MissionPropeller's software platform and services are underpinned by our hardware products, AeroPoints & DirtMate. This role will provide you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the team behind our custom hardware.
As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will be involved in all stages of the product lifecycle. You'll be working on PCB design, firmware development, prototype assembly and verification and collaborating closely with our manufacturing team and third party manufacturers to see products through to mass production.
You'll also work with the broader Propeller team on field testing and to provide engineering support, ensuring our products' performance is rock solid in harsh construction site environments.
Your SkillsYou have prior experience in PCB design (schematic and layout) and prototyping.You have prior experience in embedded firmware development using systems-level programming languages like Rust or C.You've worked closely with internal and third party manufacturing teams to implement product assembly, programming and factory test procedures.You have supported customer facing teams on complex troubleshooting.Bonus points for: Having worked on failure analysis, continuous improvement and accelerated life testing for hardware products.Experience with GPS / GNSS systems.Having worked on power optimisation for battery / solar powered devices.Mechanical design experience, particularly for devices used in harsh environments.
