Permanent  Location Play a key role in Westpac's major Technology Simplification Program (Unite) How will I help?
Reporting to the Head of, Technology Simplification of Program (UNITE) Oversight, you will support the Head of Technology Risk to meet their obligations under Westpac's Three Lines of Defence (3LoD) Model.
The role sits in the Risk Division and is a 2nd Line of Defence function, as a member of the team that provides insight, oversight, and challenge of risk management in the UNITE program and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include: To support the Head of Technology Risk by providing expertise in technology to divisional CROs on UNITE initiatives.
To apply a risk-based approach to 2nd line Oversight of Change Execution Risk, aligned to the Transformation Policy and Standard, and the 3LoD Model Standard.
To attend workstream or initiative steering committees, in addition to regular attendance at LoB/BU portfolio committees.
To challenge and oversight UNITE change initiatives, whether product or project driven, to ensure the risks delivered through change are adequately controlled.
To provide the business with insights into emerging risks arising from potential changes in business strategy, thematic reviews of internal events, key external learnings, or changes in inherent risk environment.
To drive and support innovative risk management solutions which are simpler and better as a foundation for competitive advantage, as well as being aligned and integrated across business units.

What do I need?
You will bring 10 + years of Technology/ Cyber Risk advisory experience with at least 5 + years of this experience within Financial Services.
You will have 10 + years of large-scale technology portfolio experience, including transformation and experience with documenting technology controls and/or controls assessments.
With proven professional risk qualifications and project delivery or implementation experience desired, you will be a true risk leader with the ability to influence, constructively challenge and collaborate at a senior stakeholder level.
You will demonstrate examples of combining your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sharp business acumen to create customer focused solutions.
