We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team of passionate and experienced engineers, designers, and technicians. You will be working on the design and development of some of the industry's best underground mining vehicles for our customers across the globe. The role will be based at our modern facility in Burnie, Tasmania .

As a key member of a niche team, you will be involved in all facets of vehicle design to meet market requirements and business objectives.
About the Role This is a senior engineering role and will report to our Project Manager.
Key tasks will include: Managing and coordinating all mechanical and hydraulic design activities. Ensuring project charters, scopes, and specifications are delivered. Ensuring all designs meet applicable standards, codes of practice, and guidelines. Preparation and delivery of progress reports to key stakeholders. Leading and developing other engineering personnel as required. About You Desired Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualifications in a relevant field. Project management qualifications will be highly regarded. A proven track record in engineering design, preferably in the heavy vehicle industry. Excellent technical knowledge, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. An exceptional level of attention to detail. High-level communication skills. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Ability to prioritize effectively to meet development schedules.
