The Role Critical to the delivery of a demanding program of events and activities are a small team responsible for enabling services. They are currently searching for their new leader, the Director Business Operations (DBO). Reporting directly to the CEO, the DBO will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of all corporate functions while also taking on the role of Company Secretary. Also reporting to the Board and working closely with relevant sub-committees, the DBO will assume responsibility for all governance and reporting activities.
A collaborative and strong leader, the DBO leads a multidisciplinary team (both in-house and externally contracted) responsible for the provision of high-quality reporting, people performance, procurement and contract management, corporate governance, external audit, financial and budget management, technology, legal and office management functions.
What Are We Looking For? Corporate enabling professionals with extensive operational experience leading teams. Experienced APS directors or gifted corporate managers. Demonstrated company secretary skills and a commitment to strong governance. A strong commitment to communicating with influence, skilled in engaging diverse stakeholders, and possessing political astuteness. High emotional intelligence and empathy with strong values alignment to the ongoing work of the NADC. Proven track record in developing positive and productive working relationships. This role will need someone capable of leading a small team in the delivery of a large program of corporate work, and agile enough to easily switch between operational and strategic functions.
The Reality of Working with NADC When the rest of the nation might be winding down and putting their feet up, the team at NADC are moving into their busiest time of year. You will be required to work throughout December/January, but you'll be helping to bring our nation together by uplifting the community. You will be rewarded with additional leave days and have plenty of time for those long holidays mid-year.
