Operations Scheduler/ Allocations Officer Elite Roads is an experienced Victorian based Road Construction company. We specialise in innovative approaches and the latest technologies to deliver the best quality projects in the safest way possible.
POSITION SUMMARY The Operation Scheduler will manage all the resources required to deliver the surfacing department projects successfully and within the required scope of works. The Operations Scheduler will schedule, plan, forecast, resource & manage all activities aiming at assuring project/site accuracy and quality from planning & delivery to completion. This includes coordination of daily works, ordering asphalt, resourcing staff and sub-contractors for profiling, asphalting & transport, coordinating all plant and equipment and ensuring all daily jobs are closed out with completed paperwork.
ABOUT THE ROLE Remain updated on all quotes/tenders awarded to ensure accurate scheduling and communication to site workers Co-ordinate & roster teams of staff, individuals or sub-contractors to ensure all scheduled works are completed in a timely & efficient manner Prepare & complete job sheets including ordered quantities & pricing details ready for invoicing Communicate with all relevant teams to ensure all programming/scheduling needs are captured Engage subcontractors when and where necessary Ensure staff complete all job sheets, pre-starts, daily toolbox & worksite hazard forms electronically daily Co-ordinate & record all float movements, ensuring accuracy of address details Order materials/supplies as per quote and to meet site/client needs Continuous improvement and streamlining in the Upvise database system Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, amending details, resolving issues and updating relevant staff/team Adjust/change programmed jobs to meet deadlines, accommodate client programming changes and communicate changes to relevant staff, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders Prepare and arrange Letter Box Drops and/or Vic Roads permits where necessary Ensure safe work method statements & risk assessments are completed and provided to customers (including copies of insurances when requested) Link related files/documents within Upvise system ensuring site staff can access Work closely with the department Contract Administrator to ensure all legal requirements are met Work closely with the HSEQ department to ensure all safety obligations are met REQUIREMENTS Profiling and Asphalt Road Construction exposure preferred but not essential Excellent communication skills and experience working with inter-departmental groups Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements & environments Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Elite Roads quality standards Team oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines An understanding of time management with the desire to get the job done right the first time and on time Safety focused In addition, you will have:
