An Eligibility Officer plays a key role in the initial stages of a claim lodgement, shaping the claims experience for both workers and employers as they determine whether to accept or reject a claim.
This role involves investigating, strategising, managing and gathering information and evidence to support sound decision making with respect to the claim outcome.
This will be a permanent, full-time position based in our Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home once fully trained.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESManage inbound and outbound calls and directing their queries accordingly while requesting information to assist in the liability assessment process.Proactively manage claim determinations for complex claims, ensuring that information is actioned accurately and consistently.Assist the worker and employer with the claim process and providing support in the completion of relevant documents to ensure timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery.Develop and implement effective strategies to support the achievement of key performance and remuneration measures.ABOUT YOUStrong customer service focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to analyse information to make a decision in line with the Return to Work Act.High attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to problem solve and make informed decisions.Tertiary studies in business, law or allied health is advantageous.Previous experience in a similar role within worker's compensation or insurance with previous experience within a legal environment would also be advantageous but not mandatory.WHAT WE OFFERWe stand together as equals.
