About the role We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electronics Technician to join our Burnie, Tasmania office.
This full-time, permanent role involves working in both workshop and on-site environments across various project phases.
Key responsibilities include: Providing technical advice in collaboration with management and supervisors Testing, identifying, and repairing equipment Supporting and executing preventative maintenance tasks Conducting inspections to ensure safety compliance Assisting in commissioning and start-up of installations Coordinating technical support and implementing repairs Reading and interpreting wiring plans and specifications Collaborating with teams to ensure safe and efficient project completion Maintaining high standards of workplace and equipment housekeeping Planning and executing technical work plans Skills and experience To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates who can bring the following skills and experience to the role: Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (or equivalent trade qualifications) ACMA Registered Cabler (Structured, Optical Fibre, and Coaxial Endorsements) 5+ years' experience with RF systems and telecommunications equipment Experience in underground mining (desirable) Knowledge and experience of Leaky Feeder antenna systems (MST, Becker, RFI, PBE, Tunnel Radio, etc.), digital and analogue radio systems, Direct Current power systems, and optical fibre installations Strong understanding of Internet Protocol networks and test equipment proficiency (e.g., spectrum analysers, OTDR, light source power meters) A commitment to safe working practices Recent national police history check Willingness to travel as required.
