Fitzroy Mining Operations is a new force in the Queensland metallurgical coal mining industry with a portfolio of existing operations and a pipeline of growth projects. About the roles Underground Coal Mine Electricians wanted! Carborough Downs and Ironbark No 1 Mine Sites. We currently have exciting and rewarding opportunities for Experienced Underground Electricians for Fitzroy's Carborough Downs and Ironbark Mine sites. You will be working in either Development, Outbye, Longwall or Bord and Pillar.
Key Responsibilities of the role will include: Create a safe and healthy work environment on the job and manage risks to an acceptable level; Ensure that all allocated electrical maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with Queensland Coal Mining legislation and requirements; Ensure that all preventive and statutory inspections are completed within the scheduled weekly timeframe, and requests for further maintenance work are enacted; Carry out breakdown repairs to electrical equipment as required; Assist in the maintenance planning process by scoping jobs and providing quantity estimates for labour, parts and materials; Provide electrical knowledge, personal drive and ability to maintain standards that support the safe and efficient production of coal; Got what it takes? Significant previous experience working in underground coal operations ; Relevant Trade Qualification and Tickets; Queensland Standard 11 - surface and underground; Qld Electrical License or willing to obtain; Queensland Coal Board Medical or willing to obtain; EEHA Certification or willing to obtain; Demonstrated history of working safely; Commitment to the achievement of business goals and outcomes; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work well within a team.
