Our Electricians and E&I Technicians are a key part of ensuring Instalec Group maintains a safe and innovative culture that delivers quality services, solutions and outcomes for our own team and clients.
The opportunity We have an opportunity for multiple Electricians and E&I Technicians to join our team to contribute to the delivery of services with our mining site clients across the Northern Territory.
This role is based out of Darwin as DIDO and FIFO or Brisbane as FIFO depending on client site requirements. Rosters vary including 2&1, 7&7 and 8&6.
You will be responsible for in field implementation and technical expertise for the delivery of various specialist electrical, data, instrument and control works including installation, construction projects, commissioning, maintenance activities and labour services. You will operate and complete technical and manual work in a safe and effective team environment within the framework of our daily safety, quality and environmental management systems and our client's site operating systems and procedures.
Your skills and experience Demonstrated experience and capabilities working on mining electrical infrastructure for 3 to 5 years (and/or relevant experience in related sectors including Power and Water Utilities, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Aviation and Marine welcome).Australian Trade Certificate Qualified Electrician and License.Electrical Instrumentation and License, and PLC programming advantageous for E&I Technician roles.Ability to take responsibility for ensuring own and team members physical and psychological wellbeing and safety.Sound knowledge and competency in a variety of electrical installation, maintenance and commissioning techniques and methodologies including application of relevant codes, standards, and legislative requirements.A highly developed drive and ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, identify innovation, and implement solutions to achieve on ground quality, safety, technical and productivity outcomes. Actively contribute to trying different approaches and taking responsibility for improvement actions.Experience in maintenance and fault finding on electrical networks, instrumentation, and control systems, including operations exposure.Sound self-awareness, motivation and communication skills, with an ability to work in a team environment and communicate clearly and effectively with a range of people.Knowledge and experience in field-based technology (laptops, iPad) and HSEQ management systems requirements.Competent use and ability to teach others in a range of tools, equipment, and small plant, ranging from hand tools to work platforms.Other qualifications are desirable including: CPR, First Aid, Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training, Work Safely at Heights, OHS Construction Induction.A diverse and inclusive team At Instalec we value having people with different backgrounds and experiences in our team, as our individual perspectives collectively enables us to grow as people, and to be a safe and innovative team.
